Progreso was formed in 2007 and is a partnership between PAGF and the founders of the companies owned and operated by Progreso. Progreso’s headquarters are in Houston, Texas.

La Michoacana Meat Market, Inc. (“La Michoacana”) is the largest carniceria grocery chain in the United States with over one hundred locations in twenty three markets, primarily in Texas. La Michoacana specializes in the fresh items (meat, produce, tortillas) that its customers typically purchase and consume on a daily basis as well as grocery and prepared foods served by its taqueria. La Michoacana was founded in 1986 in Houston, Texas.

Barri Financial Group (“BFG”) is an investment and operating platform focused on financial services for Hispanic and under-banked consumers in the United States. Through its companies Barri Transaction Services and Barri Finance, BFG provides its customers with loan, remittance, check-cashing, bill payment and other core financial services. BFG operates over two hundred standalone branch locations and service centers inside Hispanic-focused retailers, including La Michoacana Meat Market, Inc., in Texas and the neighboring states. PAGF purchased BFG in 2006. BFG’s headquarters are in Houston, Texas.

Barri Transaction Services

Barri Finance
Barri Transaction Services provides and sells products and services related to remittance, check-cashing, bill payment, money orders, tax preparation, auto insurance, phone cards and other financial products and services used by the Hispanics customer. Barri Transaction Services operates its own locations as well as through agent relationships. Barri Transaction Services was founded as Barri Remittance Corp. in 1985 in Houston, Texas.
 

Barri Finance

Barri Finance Barri Finance provides small installment loans typically to persons with limited or no credit history. Barri Finance works with clients to make loans that the client can afford and then helps the client build their credit history with the credit bureaus. Barri Finance operates under the brand names “Barri Finance,” “Economy Finance,” and “First Credit.” Barri Transaction Services operates in all Barri Finance locations. Barri Finance was founded as Economy Finance in 1969 in San Angelo, Texas.
