Rodrigo Amare
Managing Director
Rodrigo is a co-founder of PAGF. He serves as Chief Executive Officer of Progreso, LLC and is responsible for leading PAGF’s grocery and food activities.
Prior to founding PAGF, Rodrigo was a Principal of Zephyr Management, L.P., a New York-based investment firm specializing in the global emerging markets. While at Zephyr, Rodrigo served as a Principal for the ZN Mexico Funds, private equity funds investing in small and mid-sized Mexican consumer companies. Prior to joining Zephyr, Rodrigo worked for TCW/Latin America Partners, a private equity fund focused on Latin America and for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in its Investment Banking Division for Latin America. Prior to arriving in the United States, Rodrigo worked in Mexico City for Banco Nacional de México (Banamex) and for Arthur Andersen & Co. in its Business Consulting Division. Rodrigo holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and received two undergraduate degrees from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City, a B.A. in Business Administration and a B.S in Public Accounting. Rodrigo is a native of Mexico City, Mexico.
Guido Caranti

Guido is a co-founder of PAGF. He serves as Chairman of Barri Financial Group and is responsible for leading PAGF’s consumer financial services activities.
Prior to the launch of PAGF, Guido managed alternative investments at Cockrell Interests Inc., the investment and business arm for the Cockrell family. Prior to joining Cockrell Interests Inc., Guido worked with Enron International developing and managing operations in South America, the Caribbean and the United States. Prior to moving to the United States, Guido was Treasurer of Central Puerto S.A., one of Argentina’s largest power generation companies, and worked with Tecpetrol, S.A., a privately held oil and gas exploration and production company based in Argentina. Guido holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Guido is a native of Córdoba, Argentina.
Richard Vaughan

Richard is a co-founder of PAGF. He serves on the boards of Progreso, LLC and Barri Financial Group and is responsible for the overall leadership of PAGF.
Prior to founding PAGF, Richard was a Managing Principal of Zephyr Management, L.P., a New York-based investment firm specializing in the global emerging markets. While at Zephyr, Richard led the firm’s private equity investment activities in Mexico (2000-2004) and Korea (1995-2000) and participated in the origination, due diligence and execution of investments in private and public companies in the United States, Latin America, Asia and Africa. Prior to joining Zephyr, Richard worked for Bankers Trust Company in New York in Global Investment Management and in the bank's proprietary Funds Management group. Richard is a graduate of Princeton University with an A.B. degree in Politics and is a CFA charterholder. Richard is a native of Houston, Texas.
